GAINESVILLE - A May trial date has been set for Mark Antonio Taylor II who is accused of killing a Gainesville auto dealership employee more than a year ago.

Mark Antonio Taylor II, who was 21 at the time, faces a number of charges, including murder, in connection with the death of Charles Weaver, 42, who worked in the parts department at Carriage Mitsubishi on Browns Bridge Road.

Weaver's body was found just before 8:00 a.m. Dec. 28, 2012, by another employee of the dealership.

Taylor, who is from Gainesville, remained on the run for two days, when he was traced to an apartment complex on Constitution Avenue in southeast Atlanta where he was arrested.

Hall County Court Administrator Reggie Forrester said Thursday Superior Court Judge Bonnie Oliver has scheduled Taylor's trial for May 5.
