DAHLONEGA - Chestatee Regional Hospital is now the owner of the new VersaTREK Model 240-90. Not only so, but CRH is also the first hospital in the country to own it.

VersaTREK is an automated microbial detection system. In other words, this machine detects pathogenic bacteria in blood and body fluid samples.

Officials with the Dahlonega hospital say the new detection technology works much more quickly than previous microbial detection technologies - cutting down on treatment time and therapy costs. The VersaTREK is typically used to diagnose infections of the bloodstream.
Jeri McGee, Chestatee Regional Hospital Lab Director with the VersaTREK 240-90.
