Baldwin might consider Sunday alcohol sales

BALDWIN - The Baldwin City Council discussed at their work session last Thursday the idea of holding a referendum in November on the question of Sunday alcohol sales.

"We discussed the possibility of putting a referendum out for our citizens to vote on, possibly Sunday alcohol sales in the City of Baldwin," City Council member Joe Elam said.

"Our lawyer (David Syfan) is certainly getting us the details on that," Elam added. "Apparently there's more than one type of referendum; there's three different types, so we have to look into the details behind that."

Baldwin's city limits lie in two different counties: Banks and Habersham.
