TAZEWELL, Ga. (AP) -- State fire officials say a blaze has destroyed a church in western Georgia, the second reported church fire in the state since Friday.

Spokesman for state Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner Ralph Hudgens says the Tazewell Baptist Church on Highway 137 in Marion County was gutted by a blaze early Sunday morning.

Authorities are unsure of the cause of the fire and Hudgens says weather conditions in the area have prompted investigators to temporarily suspend their investigation.

No injuries were reported.

Meanwhile, investigators say a church fire early Saturday in Metter in southeast Georgia was the work of an arsonist. (See earlier story. Link below.)
