Last living employee of Gainesville Midland Railroad dies

GAINESVILLE - Sam B. "Sammy" Gee, 76, Gainesville, died Thursday at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.
Gee was the last living employee of the old Gainesville Midland Railroad, retiring after 45 years with the company.
The funeral will be at 2:00 Sunday Little-Davenport Funeral Home Chapel.
