The new report outlines economic development activity in Gainesville-Hall County contributing to the recent rating that spotlights it as one of the top performing communities in Georgia and the nation. The March 2014 rating marks the second consecutive year that Site Selection has selected Gainesville-Hall County among its top performing communities in economic development. (See earlier story. "In 2013, Gainesville-Hall County had 33 new and expanded businesses that created 950 jobs and generated $180 million in capital investment," said Tim Evans, Vice President of Economic Development for the Greater Hall Chamber. The 2014 Economic Development Report includes updates on Retail, Housing, Infrastructure, Business, Population, Healthcare, Education, and Redevelopment, Tourism and the Chamber's VISION 2030 and HALLmark initiatives that support economic development.
