Barow County Fire Lt. Scott Dakin said the crew found fire on the roof line and a corner of the home on Royal Oaks Drive when they arrived just after 8 a.m.
"Roughly, between 40 and 50 percent of the home was involved at this point and with the wind conditions it was growing fast," said Dakin.
Dakin said he thinks the home will be a total loss. "Two adults and two children were displaced as a result of this fire because the house suffered extensive damage from it," said Dakin. The Red Cross is assisting the family.
Dakin said the fire did not appear to be a human act, and that the Fire Investigation Team was looking in to the cause.
