GAINESVILLE - A charter bus carrying some eighth grade students from Hall County was damaged earlier this morning after it slipped on the road and hit a guard rail in Forsyth.

"A little earlier this morning, a charter bus... transporting North Hall eighth grade students to a field trip to Savannah hit a guard rail just outside of Forsyth, Georgia, on the rain and slick roads" said Hall County Schools spokesman Gordon Higgins. "As a result, the bus was disabled. The good news to report is that the 45 students on the bus are all fine...and [they] have been put on the other three buses and they're already on their way to Savannah to continue with the field trip."

None of the students are injured. One chaperon was shaken up and taken to a Macon hospital. The students were put on the three other charter buses and are on the way to Savannah.
