Baseball: Falcons, Hughes shut down Centennial

The Flowery Branch baseball team got a strong performance from Jonathan Hughes en route to a 9-0 victory over Centennial on Tuesday.

Hughes pitched a complete game in the shutout, allowing just two hits and striking out eight Centennial batters.

Meanwhile, Dylan Gibeau led the way at the plate for the Falcons, going 2-for-3 with an RBI. Bailey Godfrey also produced a hit and an RBI.

Flowery Branch will play host to North Oconee at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday.
