North Georgia (22-6), seeded fourth in the eight-team event, will take on a familiar foe in 5th-seeded Columbus State who is fresh off winning the Peach Belt Conference Tournament.

The NCAA tournament appearance is the first ever for the UNG women's basketball program. The Nighthawks are on the heels of an impressive 22-6 campaign in which the team was ranked in the NCAA Division II USA Today Coaches' poll for eight consecutive weeks.
The meeting will be the third of the 2-13-14 season with Columbus State after North Georgia won both the regular-season contests with the Cougars, winning 78-73 on Feb. 8 in Columbus before posting a 70-67 win on February 26 in Dahlonega.
The Southeast Regional's top seed and host is Lenior-Rhyne and is joined by fellow South Atlantic Conference foe Wingate as the third seed. The Peach Belt Conference is represented by UNG, 2nd-seeded Clayton State, 5th-seeded Columbus State and 8th-seeded Armstrong Atlantic State. Rounding out the field as the sixth and seventh seeds are Limestone and Belmont Abbey of the Conference Carolinas.
The winner of the Southeast Regional will advance to the NCAA Division II Championship Elite Eight event March 25-28 at Erie Insurance Arena in Erie, Pa.
