Centennial Arts Academy Reading Bowl team wins state championship

GAINESVILLE - The Centennial Arts Academy Reading Bowl Team won the Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl State Championship Saturday in Athens.

The team of 4th- and 5th-graders, coached by Media Specialist Kathy Anglin and 5th grade teachers Dallas Thompson and Kelly Kennedy, was also awarded the best team essay in the elementary school division for the state of Georgia.

It was the first appearance for Centennial Arts Academy in the state championship.
