Baseball: Jackson County hands West Hall first loss of season

OAKWOOD -- Jackson County knocked off West Hall 4-1 on Wednesday to give the Spartans their first defeat of the season.

Zach English provided the lone RBI for the Spartans (4-1).

Andrew Fogarty struck out 10 West Hall batters over five innings to pick up the win for the Panthers.

Patrick Overstreet also went 2-for-4 with a solo home run to pace Jackson County.

The Spartans travel to Dawson County on Monday to open Region 7-AAA play.
