Sentencing set for today in deadly jet ski incident

GAINESVILLE - An Atlanta man found guilty in a deadly jet ski incident on Lake Lanier in 2012 will be sentenced today in Hall County.

Jeffrey Simon Hubbard was found guilty on February 20 of homicide by vessel. He was the operator of a jet ski that struck an inner tube being pulled behind a boat on July 6, 2012.

Kile Glover, who was 11 years old, died several days after being injured in the crash. A 15-year-old friend also was injured in the crash.

Sentencing has been scheduled for 1:30 Wednesday afternoon in Hall County Superior Court.
