Baseball: Dragons' Ford fans 15 in win over Elbert

JEFFERSON -- Max Ford tossed a one-hitter and struck out 15 in six innings to lead Jefferson to a 10-0 win over Elbert County Tuesday.

The Dragons (4-3) pounded out nine hits, including three by Hanon Price, who also added two RBI. Micah Carpenter added two hits and one RBI, and Taylor Wilkes, Trent Sorrells, Alex Gaba, and Christian Hutch each had one hit for Jefferson. Carpenter, Ford, Sorrells, Gaba, and Hutch each had one RBI.

Jefferson scored single runs in the first, third, and fourth innings, and three in the second to lead 6-0. The Dragons put the game out of reach with four runs in the sixth.

Jefferson will travel to Elbert County on Thursday.
