Owner of Jim Waters Motors dies

GAINESVILLE - The owner of one of Gainesville's most well-known, long-established used car dealerships has died.

James W. "Jake" Waters, Jr., 82, Gainesville, died at his residence on Friday.

The funeral will be at 1:00 Monday at Lakewood Baptist Church in Gainesville.

Waters was the owner of Jim Waters Motor Company. He also owned King Motors Company and was the owner of Hyatt Auto Parts. Waters served as President of the Georgia Auto Parts Association in 1986-1987.
