HOMER - The Georgia Bureau of Investigation reports that additional remains and artifacts have been found near Banks Crossing, where a bone was found Monday night.

"The remains were examined by an anthropologist with the University of Georgia and were determined to be human," said GBI spokeswoman Sherry Lang.

The remains were discovered in a wooded area near the intersection of Highway 441 North and I-85.

According to Deputy Carissa McFaddin, the discovery was reported at about 8:30 p.m. Monday.
