Class A Private playoffs: Lady Lions' rally falls short against Mt. Paran

ATLANTA -- The Lakeview Academy girls started strong but could not overcome a shaky third quarter as Mt. Paran Christian rallied past the Lady Lions, 52-49, Monday in the first round the Class A Private playoffs.

Lakeview Academy (20-9) opened strong with a 15-8 first quarter but watched its lead trimmed to 23-22 by halftime. Mt. Paran (20-5) took control in the third quarter outscoring the Lady Lions 16-8 to take a 38-31 lead into the fourth quarter.

Lakeview Academy outscored Mt. Paran 18-14 in the final period but could not complete the comeback.

Freshman Hanna Grogan paced lakeview Academy with a game-high 24 points. Junior Schyler Miller added eight points for the Lady Lions.

Que Morrison led Mt. Paran with 21 points.
