OAKWOOD -- Johnson High School Principal Stan Lewis and Athletic Director Matt Stowers have announced that the school is making a change in the Head Coach for Girls Basketball for the 2014-2015 school year.

Coach Kory Bays, who has been head coach of the Lady Knights for the past five seasons, was told of the administration's decision this week and was given the time he requested to inform his players of the decision.

During his tenure as head coach, the Johnson Girls Basketball team had a combined five-year record of 25-101, that included a record of 1-47 over the past two seasons. Coach Bays best year at Johnson was the 2010-11 season when the Lady Knights went 15-12.

Coach Bays had come to Johnson with an impressive resume from the college level that included 151 wins at Warner Southern College.
