Woman's body discovered in North Georgia lake

ACWORTH, Ga. (AP) -- Sheriff's officials say woman's body has been found floating on a lake that is part of a North Georgia apartment complex.

The Cherokee Sheriff's Office says the body was found Thursday afternoon on water that is surrounded by the Waldan Pond apartment complex in Acworth.

Officials say the body has not been identified but appears to be female adult. An investigation is ongoing.
