Baseball round-up: East Hall beats Chestatee in season-opener; Branch falls

GAINESVILLE -- East Hall opened its baseball season with a 10-0 win in five innings over Chestatee Monday.

East Hall (1-0) was led by jack Hagwood, who tossed three shutout innings giving up two hits and one walk while fanning one. He also went 2-for-4 with two RBI at the plate.

Hunter Buffington threw two shutout innings striking out two and had two hits and one RBI at the plate. Jesse Winters had two hits and Jacob Cash one hit for the Vikings.

East Hall led 2-0 but blew the game open with a three-run fourth and a five-run fifth inning.

The Falcons fell in five innings on Monday at Flowery Branch.

The Falcons will play again on Wednesday against Centennial at home.
