Braselton man announces for Jackson BOC

BRASELTON - Ralph Richardson, Jr. has announced plans to run for the District 3 post of the Jackson County Board of Commissioners.

Richardson, a sixty year old native of Jackson County, is retired from 26 years of military service and is also a former Town of Braselton Councilmember. (2003-2010).

"It is my fervent belief that we need qualified, aggressive leadership ahead to face the economic, environmental and growth challenges that are before us.
With the current financial environment that our citizen's face, it is more important than ever that we continue to be good stewards of the County's finances so that we can prevent property owners from having to pay higher taxes," said Richardson.

"In addition to a focus on providing good service to District 3 citizens, I am the best candidate to provide strong, positive, unifying leadership that will bring us together to keep Jackson County moving in the right direction, said Ralph.
"I have a vested interest in the future of our county and look forward to serving our citizens."

Ralph and his wife Becky live in Braselton and worship at Blackshear Place Baptist Church. Ralph has three grown children and seven grandchildren who live in and around West Jackson. He enjoys many outdoor activities, including hiking on the Appalachian Trail, hunting and training his lab retrievers.
