EMT from Elberton killed in one-vehicle crash

COVINGTON - A part-time EMT/firefighter for Elbert County Emergency Services was killed in a single vehicle crash near Covington early Friday morning.

The Georgia State Patrol said Bradley Eavenson, 31, of Elberton was not wearing a seat belt when he lost control of his pickup truck on Highway 278 at Dixie Road. Trooper said Eavenson was partially ejected from the vehicle.

The accident occurred just before 1 a.m. Troopers said the wreck was not weather-related.

Eavenson also worked at one time with the Banks County Fire Department.
