GAINESVILLE - An autopsy performed by the Medical Examiner on the body of Holly Fox Strickland of Oakwood has determined that she was the victim of a homicide.

Hall County Sheriff's Deputy John Marshall said Tuesday the office was not releasing further details.

"Right now the investigation is still ongoing by the Detective Division, and as we get information that we can release, we'll release it," said Marshall.

The 32-year-old Strickland was last seen alive on Monday, February 3. Her body was found near her home on Rain Tree Trace Saturday morning around 10:45. Initially, authorities said it did not appear foul play was involved in the young mother's death.
