Girls basketball: Lady Tigers snap losing streak, beat West Hall

DAWSONVILLE -- Dawson County snapped a two-game losing streak with a 42-35 victory over West Hall Friday in Region 7-AAA girls basketball action.

The Lady Tigers (16-8, 7-6 Region 7-AAA) West hall to just 11 first-half points while building a 23-11 lead.

The Lady Spartans cut the lead to 28-18 by the end of the third quarter but could complete the comeback despite outscoring Dawson County 17-14 in the fourth quarter.

Karlie Bearden and Sheyenne Seabolt paced Dawson County with 13 points each. Ashley Parker scored nine points for the Lady Tigers. Katelynn Simpson had two points for Dawson County, the first in varsity career.

The Lady Tigers will wrap of their regular season Saturday against Banks County at home.
