Retired Gainesville businessman dies

GAINESVILLE - Robert Smith, who owned and operated Arrow Tire Co. for nearly half-a-century, has died.

Smith, who was 80, died Thursday at his residence.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 Sunday in the chapel of Little-Davenport Funeral Home.

Smith owned and operated Arrow Tire Company from 1959 until his retirement in 2004.
