GAINESVILLE - A plan to build a mixed use development with more than 350 apartments in Flowery Branch will go to the Hall County Commission later this month without the approval of the Hall County Planning Commission.

Planners Monday evening denied the application of local developer KHTW to rezone 29.4-acres of property on Spout Springs Road near Hog Mountain Road for the purpose of building the apartment complex along with commercial retail space.

The Hall County Commission will see the proposal at its February 27 meeting at 6 p.m. at the Hall County Government Center, according to officials with the county planning and zoning department.
