GSP releases more information on Thursday wreck

DEMOREST - More details have been released about the single-vehicle wreck in Habersham County on Thursday that left two injured and two seriously injured.

Tuesday morning, Trooper 1st Class Casey Coffee said 18-year-old Terry Nicholas Thomas of Demorest was driving the Mitsubishi Eclipse that traveled off Demorest-Mt. Airy Highway near East Russ Stephens Road, struck an embankment and then overturned. He was injured, and was taken by ambulance to Habersham Medical Center.

The first passenger was identified by Coffee as 26-year-old Tylike Sanders of Cornelia. Sanders was injured and was taken by ambulance to Habersham Medical Center.

Two other individuals in the car, 19-year-old Jordan Kaiser of Cornelia and 22-year-old Joshua Thomas of Alto, both were taken by medical helicopter to Atlanta Medical Center, Coffee said.

The Georgia State Patrol's Special Construction Reconstruction Team B in Gainesville is assisting in the investigation.
