Gasaway announces re-election bid for state House

HOMER - State Representative Dan Gasaway has announced that he will seek a second term representing the people of the 28th District in the Georgia House of Representatives. District 28 includes, Banks County, Stephens County, and part of Habersham County.

Gasaway, a Republican from Banks County, said, "Making government more accountable to the taxpayers was my platform when I first ran for this office, and it will continue to be my focus if re-elected."

Gasaway recently was promoted to a leadership role in the Georgia House when he was named Secretary of the Human Relations and Aging Committee. In addition, he is a member of the Rural Caucus in the General Assembly, as well as a member of the standing committees of Natural Resources and Environment, Insurance, and Budget and Fiscal Affairs Oversight.
