Piedmont students make mark on new building

DEMOREST - Steel workers with Scroggs and Grizzel Contracting attach one of the final structural beams at the Piedmont College Student Commons now going up on Georgia Street in Demorest. <br /> <br /> The beam, bearing the names of students, faculty and staff, was raised into place on Monday marking a milestone in the construction of the 58,000-square-foot building, which is slated to be complete in May 2015.
