PEACHTREE CITY - The cold and windy weather will continue across north Georgia Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

The service issued a wind advisory from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for Forsyth, Hall, Banks, Jackson, Madison, Gwinnett and Barrow counties in our area.

Forecasters predicted west winds between 15 and 20 miles per hour with gusts up to 30.

Further to the east, low humidity and wind prompted forecasters to issue a red flag warning for Franklin, Hart and Elbert counties. The warning means conditions are favorable for wildfires.

The red flag warning is in effect between 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

While no watches or warnings were issued, the weather service predicted a change of snow flurries Saturday in Fannin, Gilmer, Union, Towns, Pickens, Dawson, Lumpkin and White counties.
