BLACK CREEK, Ga. (AP) -- A southeast Georgia rifle and firearm accessories manufacturing company is planning a $20 million expansion.

Daniel Defense announced Thursday a plan to grow its Bryan County plant over the next five years. Company officials say the expansion is expected to add 120 new jobs by 2018.

Marty Daniel, the company's president and CEO, says the growth was spurred by customer demand for Daniel Defense's rifles and gun parts. The company started outside Savannah in 2000 and opened its current manufacturing plant in Black Creek, about 25 miles to the west, in 2009.

Daniel Defense got help planning its expansion from the Georgia Department of Economic Development and the Development Authority of Bryan County.
