Girls basketball: Lady War Eagles stay perfect in 8-AAAA

LOGANVILLE -- The Chestatee girls basketball team smacked Walnut Grove 54-28 on Tuesday in Loganville.

The Lady War Eagles (17-3, 5-0 Region 8-AAAA) jumped out to a 17-8 lead after the first quarter and never trailed after that.

Bridgette Kelly scored 20 points to pace Chestatee, while Savanna Long added 13.

Chestatee travels to face Gilmer at 6 p.m. Saturday.
