GAINESVILLE - A routine traffic stop turned into a drug bust in Gainesville on Monday after two Ohio residents were stopped by the Gainesville Police.

Sean Yoho, 39, and Tara Kristen McMakin, 26, both of Beverly, Oh., were pulled over for failure to maintain lane and expired tags, according to Lt. Scott Ware with the Multi Agency Narcotics Squad.

"Basically, there was a cursor and precursors and other apparatuses that were indicative of manufacturing methamphetamine," said Ware. "They already had the driver under arrest at that time - he'd given a false name and ultimately he had a warrant out of Ohio for manufacturing methamphetamine."

Ware said Yoho, the driver, was charged with criminal attempt to manufacture methamphetamine, false name to an officer, no driver's license, expired tag, and the manufacture methamphetamine warrant out of Ohio. McMakin was charged with criminal attempt to manufacture methamphetamine and a misdemeanor obstruction charge.

Ware says he did not know where the two were headed. Currently, they are both in the Hall County jail.
