A graduate of North Habersham High School, Piedmont College and the University of Georgia, Hill at one time served as an assistant principal and teacher at North Hall High School, but he spent the majority of his career with the Habersham County School System.
Hill was an assistant principal at Habersham Central High School and he was principal at South Habersham Middle School for over 20 years. While he had officially retired from the school system, he continued serving in the educational field as principal of Habersham County's Alternative School and was appointed Interim School Superintendent. Hill was presently serving as Administrative Assistant for facilities.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Clarkesville Baptist Church.
