Girls basketball: Flowery Branch dominates Winder-Barrow

WINDER -- The Flowery Branch girls basketball team notched its third straight win and second in Region 8-AAAAA on Friday courtesy a 50-26 beatdown of Winder-Barrow in Winder.

The Lady Falcons (9-8, 6-4 8-AAAAA) took a 31-10 halftime lead and cruised to the win.

Breanna Locke scored 14 points to pace Flowery Branch, while Maddie Hetzel added 11.

The Lady Falcons will travel to face Jackson County on Saturday.
