Banks County identifies woman killed by falling limb

HOMER - Banks County emergency responded to an incident in which part of a tree fell on a woman Friday afternoon.

"Denise Reed was struck in the back of the head after a large tree limb broke free from a tree and struck her while standing in her yard," a statement from the sheriff's office reads.

Following the incident, Capt. Jeff Gribble, patrol division commander, said the victim was 59 years old.
