GAINESVILLE - The Executive Board of the Georgia Chapter of the FBI National Academy Associates (GA FBINAA) announces the appointment of Gainesville Police Chief Brian Kelly as its next President.

Chief Kelly was sworn into office Thursday in Macon during the chapter's annual business meeting.

Chief Kelly has been a member of the chapter's executive board since 2010 when he was elected by the general membership and sworn in as the chapter's Second Vice President.

The Georgia Chapter of the FBINAA consists of over 800 Law Enforcement Executives of the state who have been accepted into and successfully graduated from the FBI National Academy's (FBINA) ten-week advanced Law Enforcement Management and Executive Training Course.

"There is no better way for me to give back to an organization that has given me so much, than to serve on its executive board to help establish policy, procedure, and vision for the association to keep the association in the forefront of law enforcement and growing through the 21st century," Kelly said. "I am extremely honored and humbled to hold this position and I look forward to serving the association and my fellow board members as its president for the next two years."
