Weight class champions included James Stoudenmire (90 pounds), Caiden Skakalski (95), Bryan Lopez (110), Angel Vargs (115), Jacob Wade (175) and Eric Aguilara (220).

Meanwhile, Ryan Buffington (100), Jairo Alarcon (120), Christian Matthews (145), Isaiah Jenkins (165), Marco Gonzalez (200) and Andrew Crawford (285) each finished second, and Chandler Dover (80), Alex Arellano (105) and Kevin Palomo (140) each took third.

East Hall finished with 49 team points, ahead of Chestatee and Gainesville, who tied for second with 31 points. North Hall followed with 26, West Hall with 22, South Hall with 16 and Davis with 13.

Garrett Saunders and Scott Buffington coached the Middle School Vikings to the success.

"It's been a great year so far here at East Hall Middle School winning the Hall County Middle School Championship in football and now in wrestling," Saunders said. "We have some really good kids to work with here at East Hall which makes coaching a pleasure. The kids deserve all the credit."
