Brenau dance students performing in NYC Feb. 28

GAINESVILLE - The Department of Dance at Brenau University is working with the Merce Cunningham Trust of New York City to present a "minEvent" in New York next month.<br /> <br /> Former Merce Cunningham Dance Company member, Carol Teitelbaum, visited Brenau for a two-week residency to teach classes and set pieces of Merce Cunningham's dance repertory on our dance majors.<br /> <br /> The minEvent will feature Brenau dancers in costumes designed by faculty member Fred Lloyd and vocal music of composer John Cage, performed live by music major Arielle Crumley. <br /> <br /> Brenau's participating dancers are: Bonnie Acree, Amanda Bonilla, Melinda Cassiday, Paris Hawkins, Emily Lemons, Savannah Long, Shanik Moore, Jenny Ray, Teniquia Westry, and Brianna Wiggins.<br /> <br /> They will perform at New York City Center, Dance Studios, Feb. 28.
