AUBURN - Police Chief Paul Nadeau submitted his resignation last week to the Mayor and City Council.

The following day Mayor Linda Blechinger and City Administrator Ron Griffith signed the Settlement Agreement and Release submitted with Nadeau's letter of resignation.

Griffith said that Nadeau served as Auburn's Police Chief for nearly three years, after being named to the position in April, 2011.

Griffith said Nadeau had been with the department for six years total, but added that he was unaware of the reason for the Chief's sudden decision.
