GAINESVILLE - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has issued a revised project schedule for the proposed Glades Reservoir in North Hall.

The project update deals with the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) process and estimated time frame.

Plans now call for preparing and issuing a draft EIS in May-June and notifying the public of its availability; a 45-day comment period, July-August, including public hearings; and preparing and issuing a final EIS in December and notifying the public of its availability.

The Corps now hopes to issue a decision in March 2015 on Hall County's permit application.
