Boys basketball: Tigers take tough OT win over North Hall

DAWSONVILLE -- Dawson County outscored North Hall 12-3 in overtime to take a much-needed 52-43, Region 7-AAA win at home Friday night.

The Tigers (13-4, 4-2 Region 7-AAA) were coming off a tough loss to Buford on Wednesday and needed a win to keep pace in the region standing. They got 16 points from Jackson Putnam and 13 from Lucas Pain.

The game was tight throughout with Dawson County holding just a 11-10 lead after the first quarter. The Trojans would rally to take a 24-20 lead into halftime.

Dawson County chipped away in the second half cutting the lead 31-29 after the third quarter and then tying the game late to sent it to ovcertime.

Brock Wingo poured in 18 points to pace North Hall. Carson Heinen added eight for the Trojans.

Cameron Millholland had 10 points for Dawson County
