ALTO - Monday morning, Lee Arrendale State Prison in Alto will be collecting "all things cold weather," according to Warden Kathy Seabolt.

Seabolt said the prison will accept coats, hats, gloves, socks, blankets, very large boxes, and large pieces of plastic.

Items will be collected until 1 p.m. Monday, then prison officials will deliver those items to the homeless on the streets of Atlanta.

"It's the people who are stranded on the streets that need help," Seabolt said.
