LAWRENCEVILLE - The murder case against a Norcross mother and her boyfriend has been bound over to superior court after a probable cause hearing in Gwinnett County magistrate court Tuesday.

According to reports in the Gwinnett Daily Post and Fox 5, Gwinnett County Police Detective Sheila McMillan told the court that injuries found on the body of 2-year-old Aiden Calvo indicated he was a victim of long-term abuse. She testified that the child had bruising on his back and buttocks and he had a fractured skull.

The toddler's mother Elizabeth Calvo, 21, and her boyfriend Adam Garber, 25, are charged with murder and child cruelty in the December 22 death.

Gwinnett authorities said Calvo and Garber had lived in the Norcross area for only a few weeks, having moved to Gwinnett County from New York.

There's no word yet on a trial date for the couple.
