Throughout the weekend, Dick's will host a variety of giveaways.
On Saturday, Oct. 5, former Atlanta Braves all-star outfielder Dale Murphy will make an in-store appearance 12-2 p.m.

"We want to serve athletes of all ages in Gainesville by providing the equipment they need to help them excel."
The Gainesville location will be the retailer's 17th store in Georgia and its 533rd nationwide.
A month ago, as this Sept. 6 photo shows, the finishing touches were being added to the new store.
