GAINESVILLE - A Lawrenceville man was arrested Monday in Hall County for drugs, but told authorities he was his 15 year old brother.

20 year old Dequante Nykita Long was arrested for the sale of cocaine, but told authorities he was a 15 year old.

"At the time he indicated he was 15 years old," said Hall County Sheriff Lt. Scott Ware. "He provided information [that was] basically his younger brother's information and age."

Lt. Ware said authorities booked him in the juvenile detention center, however, it was quickly discovered that he was in fact an adult.

"It was learned yesterday that he was actually 20 years old," said Ware. "He was re-interviewed, booked in to the Hall County Jail under his real name."

Long now faces additional charges to his original sale of cocaine charge, including false information to an officer, false statements in a material matter, identification theft and multiple counts of first degree forgery.

Long also has multiple charges in Gwinnett County.
