Four candidates qualify for State House District 104

ATLANTA - As qualifying ended for several special elections for open legislative seats in Georgia, four candidates signed on to run for the state house in district 104, which covers part of Gwinnett County.

All four candidates listed their party as Republican in qualifying paperwork that was due Wednesday.

According to the Georgia Secretary of State's Office, the candidates are Teresa Cantrell of Dacula, Chuck Efstration of Auburn, Tim Puckett of Buford and Todd Tyson of Dacula.

State Representative Donna Sheldon of Dacula resigned the seat in order to run for the U.S. House.

Other open seats include house district 100, also in Gwinnett County, house district 127, which includes portions of Jefferson and Richmond Counties and senate district 14, which involves parts of Bartow, Cherokee and Cobb counties.
