CLEVELAND - No one was injured Tuesday when a car ran off the road onto the porch of a house in southern White County.

The accident was reported around noon on Skitts Mountain Road at the intersection of Loy Dorsey Road. The house itself was not damaged.

Reportedly, the driver ran off the side of the road in a curve, overcorrected and ran off the other side of the road, hitting a small utility pole and then running onto the porch of a house close to the road.

Utility lines were hanging low across Skitts Mountain Road, so officials kept the road closed until power and phone providers could get the lines back up.
