CUMMING - A man has been found not guilty of arson, criminal damage and using an explosive device in an incident at a metro Atlanta Mercedes dealership.

The Forsyth County News reports, 35-year-old Quinton Gregory Smith was acquitted Friday in the July 2012 incident. Investigators have said photos from the sheriff's office showed someone lighting a device inside a glass jar and setting it in front of a vehicle at the dealership.

Officials have said Smith was fired from the dealership the day before the incident, and the car belonged to the man who fired him. The device caused some damage to the asphalt and the car's front bumper.

Smith's attorney, Kea Strozier, said that state presented a solid circumstantial case, but no direct evidence exists linking smith to the device.
