Softball: Daniels powers Buford to pair of wins

ROSWELL -- Buford junior Tessa Daniels had a career day in leading the Lady Wolves to pair of wins over South Forsyth and Milton Saturday in girls softball action.

Daniels belted three home runs and finished with nine RBI and picked up one win in the circle.

Buford whipped South Forsyth 10-4 in Game 1 and then knocked off Milton 6-1 in the second game.

Against South Forsyth Buford trailed 2-0 heading into the bottom of the fourth before exploding for 10 runs in the next three innings. Buford tied the game in the fourth but the Lady Eagles retook the lead in the top of the fifth.

A three-run home run by Daniels in the bottom of the fifth gave the Wolves the lead for good. Daniels also got the win allowing five hits in a complete-game effort.

Against Milton, Bria Bush earned the win in the circle scattering three hits and striing out eight while going the distance.

Daniels would belt a pair of two-run home runs, one in the first and another in the seventh to lead a nine-hit attack. Jordan Deep snacked a solo home run in the fifth for the Lady Wolves.

Buford (16-1) next will play host to Fannin County on Tuesday in Region 7-AAA battle.
